Description
In the center of the painting, Mary is wrapped in a blue veil that covers her head and shoulders. The Virgin brings her right hand forward while with her left hand she closes the veil on her chest. You can also see the red dress covered by the fabric. The face and body are frontal. The gaze, on the other hand, is turned to the left downwards. The expression is fearful. The facial features are youthful and regular. To the left of the painting, there is a lectern. On it you can see an open book with the pages raised. Finally, the background is very dark and devoid of painted details.

The work is executed in oil on panel pictography “Essential” category, following the methods and recipes typical of Renaissance workshops. The work is executed with Maimeri colours. The details are reproduced by hand, recreating every last detail with the utmost care. The frame, in solid wood, is made as a single hand-decorated panel, gilded in leaf and fitted with gold friezes, where the table is applied.
