Description
The scene is set in a shady grove, which forms a sort of semi-dome of orange trees full of fruits and shrubs against the background of a blue sky, nine characters are arranged, in a rhythmically balanced and fundamentally symmetrical composition around the central pivot of the woman with the red and green drape on the silky dress. The soil is composed of a green lawn, scattered with an infinite variety of plant species and a very rich sample of flowers. In the work there is on the right Zephyr reaches and embraces the Nymph Chloris who appears again on the left in the form of Flora dressed in flowers. In the center are then depicted Venus and Cupid who throws the dart of love. The three Graces also dance on the left dressed in transparent veils. Finally, Mercury raises his right arm and touches a cloud with his caduceus. Finally, the lawn is strewn with flowers and herbs while orange fruits are painted among the branches of the trees.
