Description

This work belongs to the Valle Romita Polyptych. On the table is written, in Gothic characters, the inscription: "GENTILIS DE FABRIANO PINXIIT". The influences of Nordic painting, especially Lombard painting, are evident here: attenuated in the complexions of Christ and the Madonna, but very explicit in the drafting of the Divine surrounded by cherubs, a fairly usual motif in the tradition of Lombard painting.

The work is executed through the technique of Pictography according to ancient methods and natural materials; it is handmade entirely in Umbria.
