Description
A man on the right receives the cloak from the hands of St. Francis. The Saint is painted on the left and is accompanied by his horse which in the meantime grazes the grass on the lawn. In the background there is a bare landscape and inhabited centers are depicted on the mountains. The painting is located in the Upper Basilica in Assisi and is part of the cycle of the Saint's stories.
