Description
This work depicts the Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus and St. John the Baptist as a child in an intimate and delicate composition, immersed in in an atmosphere of sweetness and spirituality. Mary, symbol of grace and purity, lovingly holds the Child, while John, with a contemplative expression, indicates his divine nature. The background is usually characterized by a serene landscape, which accentuates the harmony between the sacred and the earthly, typical of Botticelli's style, with elegant lines and refined details.

The work is made through the technique of Pictography, according to ancient methods and natural materials; it is handmade entirely in Umbria.
Each frame is made of solid wood, with an interlocking joint; the first primer is based on Bologna gypsum and natural glue; the later are in tempera. The decoration is handmade and, usually, it is studied on the work it will contain. The design is inspired by the museum frames of the various eras.
