Description
The subject of the work is a couple who are dancing in the shadow of a chestnut tree; even the two people who are the protagonists of the painting are respectively a friend and the other the future wife of the painter. The space that is reserved for the two figures is really a lot, so much so that the woman's dress does not fit completely into the canvas; Despite the size of the two characters we can see however, some elements of the setting, such as the table that to the right of the woman with some object on it and you can see also a hat that is instead located in the lower right part of the soil.
