Description

The Virgin is seated on a throne in the center of the work with the Child Jesus seated on her knees. The Child wears a white dress and holds a white globe high with his left hand. The Virgin, on the other hand, is completely covered by a long blue robe. The painting depicts eight saints on either side of the Virgin. The throne on which the Virgin is seated is raised by a step and is located inside a golden niche carved into the wall.

The work is executed through the technique of Pictography, according to ancient methods and natural materials; it is handmade entirely in Umbria.
