Description
The Madonnina is the world-famous painting to which the Ferruzzi's name. With this painting Ferruzzi won the second Venice Biennale, in which he had participated with the intention of represent Motherhood. Thanks to the extraordinary sweetness expressive image, the painting was so successful that the name original of Maternity, is changed to Madonnina. This painting is also known by several names: Madonnina, Madonna and Child, Madonna of Rest, Madonna of the Ways, Madonna of Tenderness, Madonnella, Zingarella. The painting would be in a private collection in Pennsylvania, but its exact location is unknown. According to a descendant of the painter, the painting would instead have been lost during a crossing from Europe to the United States.

The work is carried out through the technique of Pictography, according to ancient methods and natural materials; it is handmade entirely in Umbria.
